iPhone 3G/S: Faster, Better, Stronger

As Apple introduced their new iPhone 3G/s this week, a few things in particular caught our eye. First, the number of users out there running an iPhone OS device (that is, those using an iPhone or iPod Touch) have now exceeded forty million units. That’s an impressive number, especially when paired with the more than one billion application downloads by users so far. The number of iPhone users is set to explode, as the new version brings faster speed, increased storage capacity and better battery life for the same money, while the existing iPhone 3G will now sell for just $99, half its previous price. Breaking through that $100 barrier was a critical move for Apple and is expected by experts at Morgan Stanley and elsewhere to cause a nearly 100% increase increase in iPhone demand by new customers. Simply put, the next forty million users will come even easier than the first!
While 50,000 applications are now available on the App Store, the reality is that developers have barely scratched the surface of potential for this groundbreaking platform. Alongside faster processing power, the iPhone 3G/s also brings a compass, which makes more accurate location-based applications possible, and the ability to capture video. We look forward to incorporating new and exciting features like these into our products.
For corporate customers, there’s never been a better time to enter the iPhone’s atmosphere. As Apple continues to redefine mobile computing and consolidate the smartphone space, the opportunity to connect with customers and to bring services to the portable market in a meaningful way has never been more ripe. If you’re interested in bringing your brand, product or service to the iPhone, let’s talk; our contact information can be found on the left-hand side of the page. We look forward to making an “App for That” together soon!
